Q1. Am I being charged for this MOT service ?
The answer to this NO. It is a FREE to use service. However, you obviously have to pay for for MOT at the garage.
Q2. Can I re-arrange or cancel my booking ?
You are allowed to re-arrange your booking up to 2:00pm the day before the "day of your original appointment". You may also rebook another appointment up to 1 month from your original booking date. If you wish to do this, please sent an email to customer@1stopmot.com stating, which date and which garage you wish to use. Please DO NOT use the booking functions within the My Garage section to do this, as another deposit will be required.
You may re-arrange your MOT/Service appointment up to 3 three times. If you fail to attend a second re-booking, your initial deposit is kept and not refunded. You will then have to go through the whole process a 2nd time, including making a deposit.
Once an initial booking is made through our site, you may re-arrange your booking as per the instructions above.

Q4. What happens if I take out insurance ?
If you take out and pay for insurance through 1Stop MOT.com, you will deal directly with the insurance company from then on. They will issue you with all the necessary documentation for your car insurance e.g. cover note, written terms and conditions etc. 1 Stop MOT .com will not get involved in any administration after the initial purchase. We are not legally authorised or allowed to do so.
Q5. How do I claim my 10% off my MOT?
If you book and carry out an MOT using 1 Stop MOT.com AND purchase car insurance through us via this site, we will credit you with 10% of the MOT fee (£50.35) back to yourselves via the debit or credit card used to place your initial deposit. This may take up to 30 days as this is done in an end of month batch process and require an email from your insurer as proof of purchase. This will then checked before payment.
Q6. Why do I have to pay £2.50 to purchase the on line vehicle tax disk ?
The reason for this is simple, it is purely down to the Government. The card providers (Visa, Mastercard et al) all charge the Government for use of their card payment systems to buy anything, so in this case it's your vehicle tax disc; thus the Government then accordingly passes the charge straight onto you.
Q7. What if I have a problem with the MOT garage ?
In the first instance, you should always discuss all problems about your MOT and or service with the garage directly. This is by far the quickest and simplest way to remedy most situations. However, please refer to the FREE MOT guide as to what to do next if your complaint is still NOT satisfied. There is a telephone number for VOSA - the government body that regulates MOT authorised garages on 0870-60-60-440. Please call them directly or write to them at : enquiries@vosa.gov.uk . 1 StopMOT.com do not own any of the garages in the database and are not legally responsible for any actions that the garages take.
